Benefit concert in Kalamazoo

Hello again,
As promised, here is some more information about our concert in Kalamazoo next week.

Adam, Alexa, and I are heading up to Kalamazoo for a week of rehearsing and relaxation (band camp style) in preparation for a concert at Kalamazoo's First Presbyterian Church. The concert is at 2 pm on Sunday, July 1st. The proceeds from the concert go to the free health clinic that is run by the church. Many thanks go to Alexa and Tom Kasdorf for making this concert possible.

First Presbyterian is at 321 West South Street in Kalamazoo and donations can be made in the form of a check made out to First Presbyterian Health Clinic and can be mailed to 2918 Portage Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49001
We will also be playing with our friends, pianist Yu-Lien The and saxophonist Henning Schroeder. The concert will include the first duo Adam and I played together, a piece written by Alexa's husband Keith, and a piece all of us have wanted to play for a while (the Brahms). The program will include:

Mozart: Duo in G Major for Violin and Viola, K 423
Keith Murphy: Two Mediations for Saxophone, Cello, and Piano
Brahms: Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 60

Fun at the Hideout!

With a can of PBR in hand, Adam, Jeremy, and I performed at the Hideout this past Wednesday. We would like to thank those of you who came and were supportive! Hopefully we'll be back soon. A big thank you and a shoutout to Michelle and our sound guy (whose name escapes me at the moment).
Jeremy is now at Interlochen Arts Camp for the next 6 weeks working as a modern dance accompanist. I am back to teaching (but on a scaled-back schedule) and Adam is being his bad-ass usual self.

I will post more soon about our upcoming concert in Kalamazoo on Sunday, July 1 with special surprise guest artists!

Woo! Chamber Music at a Bar!

Hello again friends!

After a busy and eventful weekend in Kalamazoo, we are all safely back home and looking forward to our next concert, this one finally in Chicago!

Adam, Jeremy and I will be playing our violin, viola, percussion concert yet again at the Hideout in Chicago, 1354 W Wabansia, near Elston. A beautiful map can be found here:

The show starts at 6 pm and cover charge is $5. But hey, you get to have a beer with your modern music! Can't beat that with a stick (or a mallet, for that matter)
